Groovy Fire Dancing

I have recently learned how important it is to manifest the things you want to happen in your life.  Up until this point, I was a bit skeptical of the reality and power of manifestation.  A few months ago, I started spinning poi and have grown rather addicted to it as time has gone by.  With an insatiable appetite for spinning, I decided to go in search of other people that I could learn from, spin with and ultimately make new friends.  Immediately, the manifestation began to unfold.  I knew about an amazing studio in LA called FireGroove and discovered that they offer a Spin Jam once a week.  Of course, I had to go.  The moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and open arms.  I knew I had come to the right place, but what I did not know was that I had begun to make new friendships with these amazing and extremely talented people.

Well, they invited me to photograph one of FireGroove's performances on July 4th at a party for InstaBrand in the hills overlooking Hollywood.  This was my first time photographing a fire spinning performance since the very first time I learned of poi and spinning fire when I traveled through Thailand.  So, I was a  bit nervous but super excited and honored not only to witness but capture the essence of what it is to be a fire dancer.  This is only the beginning and I cannot wait to do more.

Jill, Kamala and Siri:  Thank you again for an incredible show and the opportunity to photograph your performance.  You are all so talented and a huge inspiration to me.
